Emergency planning

However effective an organisation’s risk management procedures are, they cannot prevent all crises.

Emergency planning is crucial preparation for how an organisation is to react the moment an incident unfolds and in its aftermath. The University is required to have proper emergency planning procedures in place through its responsibilities under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004. 

Every institution must have an Emergency Action Plan; the University has its own institution-wide Emergency Management Plan as well as a template for University institutions to use locally.
